Almost wordless Wednesday

Normally I would try to keep the photos unblemished by words, but I felt these ones needed a little background. This past weekend with my parents in tow, my little family drove a little over an hour to go visit my Auntie Kim, cousin Katie and Katie's significant other, Derek. Derek was so generous as to take us all out on his families boat so that we could cruise for an hour or so along the shore line. Here are some of my favorite shots of the day!

A good way to spend a Thursady

Conner loves the beach, as in absolutely loves it. We spent three hours whiling away the day in the sun while Conner thoroughly enjoyed being in the water, throwing rocks, finding shell's and attempting to walk half way across the harbor in the water.

My parents, friends and I staked claim on a good patch of sand, threw our respected shade makers up and enjoyed watching and entertaining the many small children that accompanied us. Brooks spent most of the time under the shade, slowly making his way from the very back of the tent to playing in the sand at the very edge of the tent, until the beckoning hand of a grandpa convinced him it would be safe and fun to venture a little farther.

With Grandpa continually filling the buckets with water and making silly faces, suddenly the beach was a lot more fun for my youngest. I think he might even enjoy coming back.

Even when the tide tickled his toes he remained where he was, laughing, talking and showing off his precious dimples.

Sea World

Yesterday was a sad day as we said goodbye to our niece Larissa, but we made some wonderful memories with her this past week, one of which I would love to share with you all. Saturday we wandered over to Sea World for the day where we were wow'ed by the the many wonders of the water that God has created. We all had a blast, Conner especially loved the whales and kept asking to see them over and over. It was so fun to see a new world opened up to him, especially to see how interested he was in all of it. We have been to many zoo's and gotten up close in many of the petting areas, but he has never before become so interactive with any exhibit. I think we may be getting a season pass...

Larissa, who is interested in marine biology also had a great time and we had a great time with her. After taking the kids home and feeding them dinner Joseph was so generous as to stay home while the boys went down for the night so that Larissa and I could go back to the park to watch the night time shows and ride some rides! I had such a blast being just with Larissa, even after getting ourselves soaked from sitting in the third row of the soak zone during the Shamu showing. At 10:00 at night. Fun fun times.

My camera is having a melt down again, so I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked, but here are a few from my phone.

Wordless Wednesday

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Today was a fun day spent out at one of the many beaches in my new home town. My self, Conner and my niece Larissa, who is in town visiting, had a blast. I was actually surprised to find that Conner loved the ocean, but I guess it apart of his genes.

Brooks on the other hand was NOT thrilled. He liked the dry sand part, but as soon as you put him down in the wet sand he was not a happy camper. Although he did love watching his brother and cousin while they enjoyed the waves.

Hi everyone. I apologize for the lack of post lately, I have been taking a break from the internet and it seems once you get away for awhile its hard to get back into the swing of some things. I have a whole bunch of photos to upload, so hopefully I will have time to do that soon.
Right now we are getting our house all put together along with doing a lot of purging. It feels so good to just let go of somethings that have been moved from place to place and haven't even been moved out of the original box we packed them in...
Alright the children are being to quiet so I must run!
