Here and there

I don't really have anything to say, but I thought I would throw some photos out there for those of you who miss our lovely faces. Sorry no Conner though, he rarely stays still enough for me to catch him on camera, especially when its on my phone. Soon I will upload the better quality pictures from my real camera, but I am awaiting some more memory before I can do that. (For the computer, not me).

Brooks and I enjoying some baby wearing. The polka dot fabric is my sling :)

Nothing like 50 degree weather at 9am to play in!

Caught in the act...

Miss us?

Well we miss you too!

A lot.

This little guy has been doing amazing in the speech department since we got here, it has been so exciting! One of Conner favorite things to do is turn on the lights ( and then turn them off of course), and at Grammie and Grandpa's there are a lot of lights. So Grandpa and I have been working on him with that telling him he can only turn one light on at a time. Well the other day Grandpa comes home and Conner excitedly tells him " Conner no lights, Conner one light Papa!"

I love him!

Until next time:)

Safely here

I just wanted to pop on and let everyone know I am safe and sound at my parents house. After I get a little more settle in I will give a nice long update along with some pictures, but for now it will be short and sweet.

Yesterday was pretty uneventful as far as plane flights go. The boys both did really well, but this is definitely not their first time flying :) I think with all the layovers included Conner has been on over 4o planes in his short almost three years, Brooks on the other hand has only been on 5. We did arrive an hour early which would normally be cause for celebration, but when the airport is a little over an hour away from your final destination and you are being picked up, it means for a really long wait with two exhausted and hungry children. We made though.

Alright I think I used up all my time. Dishes are calling and then its time to make dinner. I think my parents are really going to like having me here...

Picture day

I wanted to share this picture I took of Brooks and Joseph moments before we dropped him off at the airport. Brooks just cracks me up, you can see his little vivacious personality in this picture. He is such a joy, oh and Joseph is too :)

Enjoy!

Getting it done

My house is a mess. A big huge mess. Anyone want to come over and pack it for me?

Anyone?

I didn't think so...

I am really not found of this process. The mess makes it hard for me to think straight, and straight thinking really helps when you are boxing up your entire house. Right now almost all the wood pieces we own are sitting in the living room wrapped in saran wrap (to keep them from getting scratched) along with many many boxes. Oh and a few piles of "I have no clue what to do with this stuff".

In other news my car was picked up today and is headed on its way to my parents house. It will be so nice to have my own car, there is something about having it there that makes this so much more real. I am hoping that having the familiar car there will be something to make the transition a little easier on Conner, since it is pretty much the only thing from home that is coming with us other then clothes and a few pictures.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight was my last Community Group meeting. For those of you who have no clue what that is it is a smaller expression of our church body that meets every week apart from our Sunday gathering to share and live the gospel together. Community group has always been one of my favorite times of the week because the support and love that comes from living truth together is amazing. I have met some incredible sisters in Christ who have given me the opportunity to walk with them in hard times and good, letting me be apart of the laughter, heartache and even loss as we walk through this world together. I am so thankful to Lord for bringing these women into my life and I am honestly terrified of living without them. Please pray for me as I transition into being apart of the greater body of Christ, not just the "small" one of Sojourn that I have been apart of for the past four years. Thank you ladies for taking me under your wings and loving me as you do regardless of my many faults. I love you all and will miss you so much.
One of my biggest weaknesses is saying goodbye. I don't like to say it and I don't like to believe that it really is time to say it. So my friends if you come across this post please see my heart and know how precious each and everyone of you has been to me, and because I don't feel like I can express my heartfelt thanks to you all for choosing to be my friend in person without crying, I wanted to take this opportunity to call you all out and say thank you and I love you. So Rebekah, Maggie, Sarah, Joy, Jenn, Lindsey, Bethan, Elise, Rachel, and Alex, thank you and I love you.
All Boxed Up
I have been crazy busy these past few days trying to get a head start on packing up my house. Its amazing how much time, both physical and mental, that has to go into this type of move. I feel like I am packing for four different moves and sometimes it is just plain overwhelming, but I know that once it is all done it will be worth all the work. Why four moves you ask? Well we are putting most of our stuff into long term storage until we know where we will be stationed, which will be somewhere around six months from now. So I have to pack all that up, pack everything I need to take with me to my parents for the boys and I, then pack our change of season clothes and personal items that I am going to ship with the car and pack some of Joseph's civilian belongings that he needs sent out to him in the next couple months. Whew! Its just a lot or sorting, organizing and purging.
My house has been overtaken by boxes, lots and lots of boxes
For the fun of it, here is a before and after picture of a project that took four women a little over two hours to complete. The ridiculous part is this is all the clothes the boys own, from newborn to current and this is only half of the picture. Sheesh. Oh, and so you know, there is a couch in that first picture...
Before
After
And because I am sure there are some people out there wondering what Joseph looks like without his beautiful hair or that crazy red beard. I honestly thought I was going to detest Joseph new hair cut because I have always loved his hair, but I was wrong.
I'm alive!
Good evening everyone! It has been a busy past week, what with Joseph heading out again and the boys and I getting ready for our big move. Once again we have had a slight change in plans, as they have changed some of the rules and such for Joseph's A school which means the boys and I no longer get to join him there. For the next couple-plus-some months we will be staying with my parents in the hopes of not being alone and getting some male love and affection on the boys. So if I forgot to mention that part dad...well oops :)But if I remember correctly my dad was missing his acorn buddy and it just so happens Conner has run out of acorns.
Alright, I just wanted to check in and let you all know we are doing OK. Oh and I was computer less until about three hours ago, so hence the no updates. Maybe you'll get lucky and get pictures tomorrow...
